Mahogany Makers Sales Associate

Job description

A sales associate who is fun, motivated, analytical, creative, and a great communicator. You will be building strong relationships through partnership and collaboration and must be able to handle customer issues while maintaining a calm, collected exterior.

Job Responsibilities

  • Educate customers about the various artists, designers and makers creations that we carry and promote in our store.
  • Greet and welcome customers authentically to Mahogany Makers with a smile, ensuring a positive and friendly shopping experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to provide personalized shopping experiences.
  • Utilize strong sales skills to drive sales and meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to and addressing customer needs and concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking and merchandising products.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless and efficient shopping experience for customers.
  • Continuously develop and expand knowledge of products and fashion trends to better assist customers.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a safe and professional work environment.
  • Actively participate in training and development opportunities provided by Mahogany Makers to enhance sales and customer service skills.
  • Able to utilize retail technology, Shopify Knowledge is a plus.
  • Make posts on social media, to promote the items we carry.
  • Agreeable to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holiday, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.

What You'll Do

  • Stock sales floor, take out trash to garbage bins and receive deliveries.
  • Organize and clean sales floor, windows, fitting room and bathroom, cash wrap, back of house, as required.
  • Engage and educate customers on the products we feature.
  • Handle all customer interactions and potential issues.
  • Handle cashier responsibilities, count drawer, count change, reconcile sales reports with transactions.
  • Assists with visual directives, including floor sets, window changes, visual presentations, signage placement.
  • Process orders from our website for shipping or in-store pickup.
  • Signs up clients for reward program.
  • Inventory management.

            Job Requirements

            • High School diploma or equivalent.
            • 1+ years relevant service experience in a fast-paced, creative retail environment.
            • Must be 18 years of age or older.
            • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
            • Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
            • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
            • Constant Walking/Standing- 67-100% of 8-hour shift.
            • Occasional Lifting up to 40 lbs.- 1-33% of 8-hour shift.
            • Frequent Climbing- 34%-66% of 8-hour shift.
